The national bargaining agreement (which is normally abbreviated in Italy to CCNL) is a work contract stipulated at a national level through an agreement between the trade unions, ie the employee organisations, and the organisations representing the employers.
In some cases, the contract is directly with the employer, so that certain aspects can be considered in a more precise and personal way than the law in force.
