Employees must be announced to the NTCA. Employment can trigger social insurance liability (see 6.1).
On or before the first working day, the employer must notify the NTCA by filing 'T1041 form. The form can be downloaded from the NTCA, using the form naming convention described in 1.3.1. For 2024, the form is called 24T1041. It should be filed electronically (see 1.2) but in extraordinary cases it can be posted.
Termination, dismissal or breaking of employment contract must be reported within eight days (notably, the employer must settle with the employee within five working days, including providing to them all necessary certificates related to their employment).
