Parliament has launched a call for evidence on the Renters’ Rights Bill, inviting submissions from individuals with relevant expertise, experience, or a special interest in the Bill. The submissions will be reviewed by the House of Commons Public Bill Committee, which will consider and scrutinise the Bill. The Committee’s first sitting is expected on 22 October 2024, and it is scheduled to report by 28 November 2024. However, Parliament has noted that once the Committee concludes its consideration of the Bill, it will no longer receive written evidence and may conclude earlier than the expected deadline of 5.00pm on 28 November 2024.
