[371VB  Accounting periods]

[(1)     This section applies for the purposes of this Part.

(2)     An accounting period of a CFC begins—

(a)     when the CFC becomes a CFC, or

(b)     immediately after the end of the previous accounting period of the CFC, if the CFC is still a CFC.

(3)     An accounting period of a CFC comes to an end on the occurrence of any of the following—

(a)     the CFC ceasing to be a CFC,

(b)     the CFC becoming, or ceasing to be, liable
