68  [Nomination of sub-agent at parliamentary or Authority elections]

(1)     In the case of

[(a)]     a parliamentary election for a county constituency[, or

(b)     an Authority election,] an election agent for a candidate may appoint to act in any part of the constituency [or electoral area] one, but not more than one, deputy election agent (in this Act referred to as a sub-agent).

(2)     As regards matters in a part of the constituency [or electoral area] for which there is a sub-agent the election agent may act by the sub-agent and—

(a)     anything done for the purposes of this Act by or to the sub-agent in his part of the
