14  Survey of area: county councils [14 Survey of area: minerals and waste planning authorities and county councils]

(1)ÌýÌýÌýÌý A county council in respect of so much of their area for which there is a district council must keep under review the matters which may be expected to affect development of that area or the planning of its development in so far as the development relates to a county matter.

(2)ÌýÌýÌýÌý Subsections (2) to (6) of section 13 apply for the purposes of subsection (1) as they apply for the purposes of that section; and references to the local planning authority must be construed as references to the county council.

(3)ÌýÌýÌýÌý The Secretary of State may by regulations require or (in a particular case) may direct a county council to
