Examination and search

[17 听厂别补谤肠丑闭

[(1)聽聽聽聽 The comptroller shall refer an application for a patent to an examiner for a search if, and only if鈥

(a)聽聽聽聽 the comptroller has referred the application to an examiner for a preliminary examination under section 15A(1) above;

(b)聽聽聽聽 the application has not been withdrawn or treated as withdrawn;

(c)聽聽聽聽 before the end of the prescribed period鈥

(i)聽聽聽聽 the applicant makes a request to the Patent Office in the prescribed form for a search; and

(ii)聽聽聽聽 the fee prescribed for the search (鈥渢he search fee鈥) is paid;

(d)聽聽聽聽 the application includes鈥

(i)聽聽聽聽 a description of the invention for which a patent is sought; and

(ii)聽聽聽聽 one or more claims; and

(e)聽聽聽聽 the description and each of the
