[Part II Lump Sums and Widows', Surviving Civil Partners' and Children's Pensions]

16  Application of Part II, and interpretation

In this Part of this Act—

“judicial office” means an office in column 1 of the following Table,

“derivative benefit” means any lump sum under this Part of this Act or any [widow's, widower's, surviving civil partner's] or children's pension,

“the personal pension”, in relation to any derivative benefit or contribution to the cost of a derivative benefit (the “related” derivative benefit or contribution) means the pension eligibility for which is a condition of the granting
