274  Demolition orders: power to permit reconstruction of condemned house

(1)     Where a demolition order has become operative—

(a)     the owner of the [premises], or

(b)     any other person who in the opinion of the local housing authority is or will be in a position to put his proposals into effect,

may submit proposals to the authority for the execution by him of works designed to secure the reconstruction, enlargement or improvement of the [premises], or of buildings including the [premises].
