SCHEDULE 14 Periodic Review of Mineral Planning Permissions

[Power to carry out periodic reviews

A1

The mineral planning authority for an area in England may, in accordance with the provisions of this Schedule, cause one or more periodic reviews to be carried out of the mineral permissions relating to a mining site.]

Duty to carry out periodic reviews

The mineral planning authority [for an area in Wales] shall, in accordance with the provisions of this Schedule, cause periodic reviews to be carried out of the mineral permissions relating to a mining site.

Interpretation

(1)ÌýÌýÌýÌý For the purposes of this Schedule—

[“first review dateâ€â€”

(a)ÌýÌýÌýÌý in relation to a mineral planning authority for an area in England, has the meaning given by paragraph 2A below, and

(b)ÌýÌýÌýÌý in relation to a mineral planning authority for an area in Wales, has the meaning given by paragraph 2B below;]

“mineral permission†means any planning permission, other than a planning permission granted by a development order, for minerals development;

“mineral planning authorityâ€â€”

(a)ÌýÌýÌýÌý . . ., means a mineral planning authority within the meaning of the 1990 Act, . . .

“mining site†means—
