168 General interpretation

168  General interpretation

(1)     In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—

“prescribed” means prescribed by regulations;

“regulations” means regulations made by the Secretary of State under this Act.

(2)     Subject to subsections (4) and (5), the Education Act 1996 (c 56) and the provisions of this Act specified in subsection (3) are
