271  Power to amend public service remits

(1)ÌýÌýÌýÌý The Secretary of State may by order modify any one or more of the following—

(a)ÌýÌýÌýÌý the public service remit for any licensed public service channel . . .;

(b)ÌýÌýÌýÌý the purposes of public service television broadcasting in the United Kingdom (within the meaning given by subsection (4) of section 264);

[(b)ÌýÌýÌýÌý the public service remit for television in the United Kingdom (see section 264(4) to (8C)).]

(c)ÌýÌýÌýÌý the matters to which OFCOM are to have regard under subsections (5) and (6) of that section.
