[9A  Bail decisions relating to [children or young persons] who are accused of offences mentioned in Schedule 2 to the Magistrates' Courts Act 1980]

[(1)     This section applies whenever—

(a)     a magistrates' court is considering whether to withhold or grant bail in relation to a [child or young person] who is accused of a scheduled offence; and

(b)     the trial of that offence has not begun.
