SCHEDULE 4 Transitional Provisions

Section 12

1

(1)     Without prejudice to section 38(2) of the Interpretation Act 1889 (effect of repeals), nothing in the amendments or repeals effected by section 12 of and Schedules 2 and 3 to this Act shall affect the application of the enactments amended or repealed thereby in relation to recognizances entered into or security given by persons granted bail before the appointed day and the recognizances of any sureties for them.

(2)     Nothing in those amendments or repeals shall, in particular, affect the doing of any of the following things after the appointed day, that is to say—

(a)     the enforcement of the recognizance
