AML/CTF checklist—Simplified Due Diligence for financial services firms Financial Services Enforcement Database: This incorporates detailed information on all substantive FCA and PRA Final Notices and, where available, Decision Notices from 2014 to the present. The Database, available here, may be searched and filtered by regulatory rule breach, keyword, sector, date, seriousness, aggravating and mitigating factors, financial penalty, and other actions such as appeals. The Database may also be searched by breaches of specific regulations in the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017, SI 2017/692 (MLRs). ��𾱲Բ��ܰ��Գ��—e��Գپ�� The parties to a reinsurance contract and reinsurance terminology The principal parties to any reinsurance contract are the reinsurer, who assumes the subject risk in return for premium, and the ‘reinsured’, who may also be referred to as the ‘reassured’, or the ‘cedant’. Where the risk to be reinsured itself arises under a contract of reinsurance the reinsurer is commonly referred to as a ‘retrocessionaire’. When the contract of reinsurance is formed, or a new risk is reinsured under a contract for treaty reinsurance, the reassured is said to have ‘ceded’ part or all of the subject risk. The specific incidence of doing so is called a ‘cession’ or a ‘retrocession’, in the case of a reinsurance of reinsurance. Any part of the subject risk that is not ceded to the reinsurer is referred to as the cedant’s ‘retention’. Guidance amended to confirm historic EU cases no longer on hold

The Home Office’s guidance on Automatic acquisition of citizenship has been updated further to the coming into force of the British Nationality (Regularisation of Past Practice) Act 2023, BN(RPP)A 2023. The BN(RPP)A 2023 adds section 50B to the British Nationality Act 1981 (BNA 1981), which confirms that individuals in exercise of a free movement right in the UK in the remedial period (which is 1 January 1983 to 1 October 2000 inclusive in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, but differs in the Crown Dependencies) were not subject to immigration time restrictions. The legislation is treated as always having had effect.
