What does Recognised Investment Exchange (RIE) mean?

A recognised investment exchange is an investment exchange that meets the recognition requirements laid down in the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Recognition Requirement for Investment Exchanges and Clearing Houses) Regulations 2001, SI 2001/995, which includes the London Stock Exchange plc.
