NatureScot announces network of Wee Forests in Glasgow

NatureScot has announced that Glasgow is going to host a network of eight Wee Forests. The project, which has been launched in collaboration with Earthwatch Europe, aims to create areas of green space across the city as a legacy of COP26. A Wee Forest constitutes of 600 densely packed native trees in a space the size of a tennis court, and has the potential to attract over 500 animal and plant species within three years.
