Fixture definition
What does Fixture mean?
A chattel that has become part of the land.
Where a chattel has been annexed to the land with a sufficient degree of permanence it becomes part of the land. Ownership of the fixture will therefore pass with the land. A fixture may be severed so as to become a chattel.
