54 What employer information may an ex-employee use?

The position appears to be that ex-employees can use such information as is necessary for them to earn a living or progress in their current employment, ie the skill and knowledge they have acquired. An employer will have a legitimate interest in keeping its information confidential (particularly where it will be used by the former employee to compete with the employer), but this can sometimes make it difficult for the ex-employee to freely obtain employment elsewhere.
