Following the proroguing of Parliament on 24 May 2024, and its dissolution on 30 May 2024, the majority of Bills then before Parliament fell. However, in the King's Speech of 17 July 2024 on the State Opening of Parliament, 40 legislative proposals to be addressed in the 2024–2025 parliamentary session were presented, including a new Pension Schemes Bill (not yet published) which will extend and apply in Great Britain and cover (among other things):

• long-awaited legislation on commercial superfunds. The superfund sector is operating under temporary legislation, introduced in 2020. One superfund — Clara Pensions
