Disruption definition

What does Disruption mean?

When building work is not necessarily late but more workers or resources have to be applied to a job to meet deadlines because of the way in which work was actually carried out.

At the outset of the works, the Contractor's price will have been based on being able to work in certain areas with a certain amount of resource at a particular time. If the employer requests works are sped up, or tries to fit a number of trades into one physicality, it may be that the contractor is less productive due to disruptive elements. If this were the case it may be possible to make a claim for the cost to the contractor of such disruption.
