ICO launches new survey on Children's Code
The ICO has launched a new online survey asking for feedback on the Age Appropriate Design Code (the Children’s Code), and to seek information on the advice and resources the ICO can provide to help compliance with the Code.

ICO seeks organisations’ comments on data ethics plans
The ICO has launched a consultation concerning current or future plans on data ethics. Data ethics can help data controllers when they are considering their obligations under the GDPR regime, particularly in situations where a data protection impact assessment or legitimate interest assessment is needed. Responses will not be used to consider regulatory action. The consultation closes on 16 December 2020.
Lebanon and Mali sanctions—new Brexit transition guidance from FCDO
The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has published new guidance on the Lebanon (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020, and Mali (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020, to help stakeholders prepare for the end of the transition period and beyond. Further new and updated guidance may be issued as the transition period progresses, so stakeholders are advised to monitor these pages for updates.
Europol announces results of ‘European Money Mule Action’ operation in money laundering crackdown
Law enforcement authorities from 26 countries and Europol have announced the results of the European Money Mule Action ‘EMMA 6’, a worldwide operation against money mule schemes. Operation EMMA is part of an ongoing project designed to combat online and payment card fraud. Between September and November 2020, EMMA 6 was carried out for the sixth consecutive year with the support of the European Banking Federation (EBF), FinTech FinCrime Exchange, INTERPOL and Western Union.
BEIS ‘Working safely during coronavirus’: updates to nine guides made on 26 November
Nine of the 14 ‘Working safely during coronavirus (COVID-19)’ guidance documents published originally by BEIS were updated on 26 November, providing, among other things, new information on local restriction tiers, ventilation, mental health and wellbeing and staff canteens and restaurants, and revised guidance on COVID-19 outbreaks in the workplace.
