Christopher Bates is a partner in Ashurst’s corporate practice
 
Chris is a Partner in the technology and commercial group of Ashurst's corporate department in London.
 
Chris advises on a wide range of corporate and commercial work, often with a technology focus, and specialises in procurement and outsourcing transactions in both public and private sectors. He has extensive experience in advising on information technology-related matters, both as stand-alone transactions and as specific aspects of wider arrangements. He also advises on all types of commercial contracts including distribution, manufacturing, agency, franchising and joint ventures.
 
Chris is also a specialist outsourcing and procurement in the UK defence market, in which he regularly acts for suppliers to the UK Ministry of Defence.
