VAALCO completes successful London listing

On 26 September, NYSE listed oil company Vaalco Energy that it had been admitted to the standard listing segment of the Official List of the FCA and to trading on the Main Market for listed securities of the London Stock Exchange plc.

VAALCO first announced its intention to float on 16 September and its market capitalisation on admission was valued at £98.75 million.

Despite a subdued market for IPOs this year, which has seen the lowest number of successful listings since 2016, VAALCO’s CEO Cary Bounds had high hopes for the company’s entry into the London markets, commenting that ‘our listing on the LSE will complement our existing listing on the NYSE and provide another strategic platform to support our goals for growth.’
