Want to improve your Spanish??

Then come and join Geoff at the Intercambio group at La Torretta, Benidorm, or alternatively we have a group at Altea. Not only will you improve your Spanish, but often there are people who can help you with various problems you may have with the Spanish system. Plus you can enrich your life here by socializing with the lovely people we live with. Contact us via the web site for more details.

AGM 7th February 2013

Just a reminder that we have our AGM on 7th February 2013 and would like as many members as possible to attend. Please remember that you must be a fully paid up member (which at €6 a year is a bargain!), so contact our membership secretary, Anne, if your renewal is due on or before that date. We still require volunteers for the position of Vice President and an assistant to the Treasurer.

Sad News

Over the Christmas period we have sadly lost two long standing Help members, Roy Wood and Ann Brown. Our thoughts and prayers go out to families at this very sad time.

Christmas Fayre Success!

Our annual Christmas Fayre was held at the José Lorca Llinares Social Centre on 13th December 2012 and was a great success. We raised €623, all of which will be used for our work in the local community. We would like to thank all our contributors, supporters, volunteers and the staff at the Social Centre, with especial thanks to Mercedes. Without all these people we would be unable to continue our important work.

Summer Lunch at Déjá Vu restaurant 23rd August 2012

Lunch at Deja Vu

Help members and their friends numbered 24 at a lunch at Déjá Vu restaurant on the 23rd August during our hot, hot summer! We all had a lovely meal and a good chat, but the relentless head meant that we didn't linger as long as normal. I think we are all now looking forward to a (hopefully) cooler autumn, but what would us Brits do if we couldn't complain about the weather!
